Mmmmmm. Can't help thinking that Mr Murdoch's little firm has done something similar already, but well done Auntie, all the same.

I like the TV pictures, plus radio commentary option.

Now, if only they still had the Test Match cricket television rights, then I could have my all-time favourite of the TV pictures, plus Test Match Special, all on the same channel.

Couldn't you of put it in form of a link?

Sounds like a good excuse to bring the Euro 2000 ident back, to me! '...and digital viewers can now view an enhanced service by going interactive. Press the red button'

Well by the look of that image, it looks 16:9 to me, and AFAIK there has not yet bin a full 16:9 interactive service on sky yet (wimbledon kinda was, but only the full screen bits, the actual menu with gfx on was 4:3), so it should be interesting to see it in true 16:9, as I think that's what's lacking with the news service, as the picture seems to be in 16:9 on it, and the image 4:3, so the image always looks stretched on a 16:9 tv...

Well things like BBCi News have the picture window stretched half-way so 4:3 viewers see it stretched slightly vertically and 16:9 viewers see it stretched slightly horizontally - noone has a perfect picture and noone has an un-viewable picture

Yep, exactly, that was the point I was making, and that on the image on the site above it does not look stretched, and, therefore it will be interesting to see if they have actually overcome the problem or they have modified the image for use on that site.

Moan moan moan!

Could you not just be grateful I found it and took the time to post it rather than moan I didn't post 'correctly'?

Jesus ... I won't bother next time

Well I've just had a peak during the Macclesfield v West Ham match. I'm very impressed with it. Its doesn't get in the way of the match, and the options are great! You can even have a Radio 5 Live commentry!

As pleasing as it is to see it, I can't help but have the same feeling as when I saw the interactive news service.

'Nice to see it, but it seems a little weak in comparison to the competition's'

The interactive news service was literally just 4 video screens attached to the text service, which is OK in itself but Sky News Active seemed to be wholey more impressive when it launched and offers more features than a text service. Pictures, votes etc.

The same can be said for the sports service, it's nice to have it there but in comparison to Sky's it looks a bit feeble.

Well, aside from you can't select differant cams, there's no differance Cat ...

Aside from the BBC offering being 1, In widescreen 2, a damn sight easier to use, and 3, a damn sight quicker!

Thank god you can press 0 to get rid of all the on-screen garb.
