Question: When the view of Southampton was replaced with a china red blind over the "window" with the web address on it last autumn, what did the Oxfordshire opt-out's CSO studio do? Did they retain their view of Oxford, or was it also replaced with a plain, matt area of china red? Or was the ivory psudo-wall extended to fill the whole background? Did the psuedo-wall have any china red added? was the side banner graphic thingumy updated accordingly? Or was the use of such a thing abandoned (as appeared to be case on the main edition of ST)?

And now that they've changed the studio again - to the "news cafe" look - in what way (if any) has the Oxfordshire opt out changed?

Well what I have seen of the oxfordshire opt (NOT MUCH!) is it is just using the wall with the plasma and shot of the red and white without the plasma screen. With the new set "NEWS CAFE" style I have not seen anything because the online programme has not been updated since from the last one with Sally and Roger together.

When they first relaunched the Breakfast/Oxfordshire opt studio was more 'in the corner' if you see what I mean, roughly made to look the same as the desk in the corner of the main studio and so there was no 'window' backdrop.

By the way did anyone ever notice how there was no web address on the red panel at weekends, I've always wondered why there wasn't.

As for Lucy Jackson reading the lunchtime South Today. It's always been a regular thing that the breakfast presenter sometimes presents the lunchtime edition as well.

Can't say I noticed it in the main programme, unless of course it was just that the website address was just cut out of the picture due to the angle Confused

But it wa very definitly not there at weekends, when they used to cut to a wide shot at the end there was just a red panel. Very strange, always bugged me because I couldn't work out why it wasn't there.

It was Caroline Richardson presenting the news this evening and then there was a pretty good little South Today promo.

I wonder who will be presenting today? Could some post to say who is presenting at lunchtime today please. Sally T is back tomorrow.

Can anyone with the Oxford version get me a few captures of Geraldine Peers?

A brilliant show, Sally Taylor is a very good presenter. A bit miffed that Dorcas Henry's gone, but Mike Powell is a great replacement, pity he forecasted Thursday's weather with his flies undone!

Sally was back tonight and also presented the lunchtime bulletin.

A nice promo came on after the news round up with George with Sally talking about South Today and why viewers depend on it. Some nice studio shots were used. Did anyone else see this and what do you think?! Very Happy
