The launch of BBC South East Today has been delayed until September. They don't think it's a good idea to launch in the summer with so many viewers on holiday and it being a quiet news time!

So what are all the staff in TW doing until then? Sounds a bit of a cushy number

So there is no truth in the rumours that there were problems with the equipment working and recruiting enough multi-skilled staff? Smile

I did think they were getting a bit too close to starting when they still hadn't got a Senior Operator for the programme!! Smile

Why are they calling it South Easy Today? I think Newsroom South East is a better name...I mean look at the acronym: NRSE...if you replace the 'N' with and A you get...

Does this mean the new London Live programme will be delayed until the same time, or even longer?

I hope that London Live get corporate titles.

I should think that London Live will have titles along the same theme as the BBC English Regions (ie. a blue background) with names of various towns/districts inside Greater London and the rest of its coverage area (e.g. Westminster, Croydon, Richmond, Barking, Harrow, Watford etc)

They've got to go corporate.

The BBC wouldn't spend all this time and money to create a generic image for one programme to not follow it.

Actually, it might gets its own set of titles with different colours and music. It could be classed as a 'nation' I suppose. It has its own assembly like the nations. Then again it will probably just be the copper orange look. Smile

I think it's more likely that LL will get the same look as its radio station - ie white with lots of colour (if you know what I mean!). The BBC are trying to make a kind of London Live family. NRSE already advertises bbc.co.uk/londonlive as 'their' website. London Live's own identity can then be expanded across TV, radio and the net.
