BBC South East split

Does anyone know an exact date (or at the very least a month) for when Newsroom South East splits into London Live and South East Today?

It was to have been next Monday, but it has now been put back till September.

I don't think they've got all the staff yet

Apart from that, very few TV companies have a Summer relaunch (look at Sky News) so they may as well wait until more people are watching, allowing them to make a big deal of it and to boost ratings from the start.

You do actually find that with TV.

Its slows down a bit over the summer and then relaunch when the nights start drawing in.

You find very few relaunches actually happen in summer. Strange.

Unless of course you're ITV Digital, and ITV1 which I think is relaunching next month ?

Do you mean the original ITV channel (i.e. the one that's existed since 1955)?

Are you suggesting it will rename as ITV1 if/when such a time comes that different regional names are dropped?

Or do you just call it the that to make it easier for yourself to distingush between it and the modern additional ITV services (i.e ITV2, ITV Sport Channel etc)?

BTW, ITV1 is the new name for ITV. I think someone said it has been mentioned on screen but a proper relaunch in which is known as ITV1 isn't expected to go ahead until later this year.
