BBC Snooker package

I notice that they've remixed the theme music AGAIN for this season. The new version sounds a bit dull and IMO if they wanted to ditch the Christian Henson remix they should just have gone back to the original version.

There's also a new opening sequence - the animated graphics have gone, replaced with a sequence of snooker table, balls, triangle and cue being forged out of steel. There are also some in-programme graphics around the same theme - there's a rather gimmicky thing involving a steel cube framework with different numbers and sizes of panels on each side for player profiles, which is just irritating and hopefully will be dropped before long, and some brief stings for introducing interviews and previews, the best one of which is an apparently red-hot steel ball rolling across the steel table toward the camera (and the pocket).

I just wish they would show all the games LIVE like they do on Sky Sports. They should utilise the interactive facility, to show ALL frames of ALL matches.

I preferred the original theme that they stopped using a few years ago and used for years and years. I didn't like the remix at all, although I haven't watched much of the LG Cup so haven't yet heard the new music.

I agree that they should make it interactive so all the action can be seen live. They probably wouldn't for the lesser tournaments such as this but they certainly should for the World Championships in April/May at least.

Why the bloody hell do they keep wasting money on it?

I haven't heard the new remix, but the last one was dire, I much preferred the original music (although I prefer the Star Trek music even more...).

Is it going to get any more people watching? Is it going to greatly enrich anyone's life? Well I don't think so.
