I also disagree with Ronant, and agree that what he says does sound like direct marketing from the channels.
It would not cost CBBC any more ( or that much more money if there's repeat fees involved ) to show Grange Hill on CBBC One. I could see the argument if CBBC One was showing new programmes all the time, but it does seem to be filled up more and more with cartoons and repeats.
Why should anyone have to purchase Freeview / satellite / cable just to have access to programmes that were once available on BBC One and Two? ( until it's absolutely necessary ). And in this case it's not the children taking the decision to purchase the equipment it's their parents.
