well, when hte digital switchover is complete, CBBC won't need to be shown on beeb 1 or 2, but until then, we should have some good shows on the 1

really? you don't think perhaps it's a nice idea to have some variation in the scheduling?

I don't agree with Balkanisation of the channels. I like variety.

Going off subject for a second:

What is the point of OFCOM? ITV are told not to ditch their kids programming. As soon as the New Year begans they scrap them during the week to show ye olde drama and OFCOM stay quiet.

Bloody useless the pair of them....

And now back to your scheduled CBBC thread. Wink

Indeed, so they could show as little as 2 now, but would have to show around 14 towards the end of the year.

Which they wouldn't have a problem with. Run up to Xmas, with all the you ads? They'd show it even if they didn't have to then. It's the rest of the year they should be forced...

Was that Comic Relief thing they had on this morning shown as part of CBBC?

The bit I saw didn't seem to be particuarly a children's show and it could have been shown at any time of day

Well keep watching - BBC Teens (working title) will be pumping out creative stuff for the 12-17 yo audience (that CBBC has been moving away from) starting this September if all goes to plan... And there's £500 million pounds worth of funding behind it IIRC.
