what the entire childrens op at bbc needs is a kick up the arse. a huge relaucnh accors both channels new looks new logos new branding everything! and loads of hype about it too t"he all new cbbc" and the like just like they did when the channel first launched. Then the yneed to re introduce some bold and bright colours like the legendary cbbc yellow, and a real set doesnt haave to b e the most expensive thing on earth just somehting fun and bright back to basics and all that. If a puppet like gordan the goffer and otis the ardvark can entertain then bring something like that back too. nowadays there is more digital hype as it is sooner, if they relaunch the brand i am sure this will help. What do you guys think?
Does anyone know what Blue Peter will be doing for their 50th birthday next year?
Glossing over any controversial moments from the last half a decade.
For their 40th IIRC they had previous presenters back to guest host various shows - though that was as a result of Richard Bacon being sacked and them being a presenter short for a few months more than anything.

The BBC banned a book a few years back keeping quiet the real reasons behind presenters " leaving " ; not just all the stuff we know anyway ( Michael Sundin, Janet Ellis etc ) but with interviews from people who worked for Biddy Baxter etc.
There are programmes from yesteryear which I think were scrapped too early, but as I've stated before in this thread ( I think ) Blue Peter IMO really needs to be given the boot. Despite revamps etc it still looks like an old round peg stuck in modern square hole.
CBBC seems to be short of presenters at the moment, all but Gemma seem to be either filming or away. Today Rani was presenting on BBC one and the CBBC channel, even though she left CBBC last year. Yesterday I saw "Harry Batt" presenting on the CBBC Channel, also at the moment most links on the CBBC Channel are done by Jake Humphrey, however these are not in vision, as he is in the West Indies for Sportsround, so they must be pre-recorded.
Where as at the start of last year they had at least 10 regular presenters, but since the move out of the real studio there has only been 4 presenters.
Does CBBC need move presentrs or should they bring back some of the team from 2006, like Matt Edmondson, Rani or Simon Grant.
