BBC Six O'Clock News

A somewhat strange yet funny Six O'Clock News Tonight!

Everything was going fine until a live two way from Old Trafford with Tony Morris doing maybe his first live for national BBC News. He was mobbed 30 seconds into the report by fans who surrounded him and cut him off from talking!! He'd been trying to get them away - and you saw the arm of the producer with him beckoning them away - but then he said 'you'll have to come back to me' and kept saying 'sorry!'. They then cut to the recorded report of him... When they came out of it they didn't go back to him but Huw looking amused said 'We'll not go back to Tony - he'll emerge from the crowd at some stage - I'm sure!!'

Then he joked about being lonely at the end of the programme as there were technical problems with the weather. He said the 'weatherman isn't with me but David Braine is through the rectangular window'.

Well, it made me laugh!!!

Are you sure it was technical problems with the weather, cause BBC News @ 1 have been doing the weather through 'the regtanglaur shaped window' for some time

Definitely were techinical problems - the 6 o'clock weather guy/girl is always in the studio.
