how can you put programmes about Polmont adn Ralpodh estate
all that swearing and fighting will be good at 1pm on a sunday
and front line Scotland
there nothing there could put there
Maybe BBC Scotland will drop their obssession with the criminal classes and underpriviliged estates.
You're joking right? Their news is the most middle-class shower of crap I've ever seen.
Incidentally, tonight's scheduling in full. BBC2 8pm - Rangers game 1st half. BBC1 9pm - Rangers game 2nd half. BBC2 10pm (if required) - Rangers game extra time.
I was referring to their obssession with prisons / housing estates etc in documentaries not their regional news Perhaps they should replace the regional news and see how long it takes before anyone else notices.
Also surprise, surprise, another night and another mention of football in the opening Reporting Scotland headlines.
...and I bet BBC Wales don't show at least one match a week in prime time weekday slots. Why didn't BBC Scotland shift Crufts to 11.20pm, that way not disrupting Fear, Stress and Anger and Dead Ringers?
Are they more scared of dog owners?
How about puttting the football commentary in Gaelic and killing two birds with one stone on a Thursday night like this?

Well I watched the Champions' League encounter between Celtic and AC Milan in a pub with an Arabic channel on, and the commentary still made more sense than Archie Macpherson on STV, so you may be on to something there.
I appreciate BBC Scotland trying to give Scottish games the prominence they deserve, and I know they fear losing viewers if they put things on BBC2 rather than 1.
But unless they're willing to shunt a night's programming on BBC1 over to 2 and have constant announcements explaining what's going on, it's the only practical solution.

I don't like football full stop, but you're right. The most objecitonable thing they do is if the game is on BBC One Scotland, and it actually finishes just before ten, is that they cancel the programme on BBC Two at 10pm and show half an hour of " analysis ". If the game is finished it's finished!
Why can't they put whatever Scotland is missing out on, on one of the extra platforms that digital viewers could select by pressing their red buttons. A few months ago I was able to watch rugby with commentary in Welsh. So why not do this?
At the end of Masterchef tonight, it was announced that it would be back tomorrow at eight. Then without apologising the announcer ( in Scotland ) said that there would be a double helping ( nice pun - not! ) tomorrow at 6.30pm. We then saw half a trailer for Life on Mars, and a trailer for New Street Law.
I can watch Life On Mars ( series 3 ) tonight at 10.35pm in Scotland as I've previously stated which means there will also be an overlap in the episode that is being shown on BBC Four.
By next week BBC Scotland is a week behind in New Street Law and Hotel Babylon.
We're also only getting to see two of " A Taste of My Life " at six thirty on BBC Two in Scotland.
Time for a stiff phone call to BBC I think...
:-(
A former member
watch out there may end up dumping hotel on a Sunday and also putting an extra Epsoide on of New street life at 10.35 on next Wednesdays

The BBC - you make it what it is!
All sounds messy, but even the scheduling on BBC2 England of Masterchef is this week as they've squeezed the final week into any primetime slot it'll fit - which IMO shows a lack of respect for the people who've been following it at 6.30pm.
