They should be quite strict about what slots they can use - BBC2 7-8pm is the most obvious one, with probably the entire Wednesday night line up on BBC1.
Perhaps though it be an idea for BBC Scotland (and the other nations) to opt out of the One Show when that launches giving them 2 1/2 hours of peaktime BBC1 throughout the week which they could use for programmes ousted by other programming.
My bad - it's the first leg, hence there won't be any need for extra time.
However if they get the second leg the problem may arise. And they're always going to drop Graham Norton over the news.
More classic BBC Scotland camerawork there - they missed the close-up on what they're claiming should have been a sending off. Not long after missing completely the incident where the Rangers goalkeeper was sent off a couple of weeks ago.

Its strange in England people Hate ITV more
but in Scotland We like STV but we hate BBC Scotland
STV is amateur night at times - some of their programming is awful, and there isn't much of it. But we know why - there's constant pressure to cut cut cut to remain financially competitive. And their news programme still manages to be better than Reporting Scotland on a millionth of the budget.
BBC Scotland is well funded and should do a lot better. But a lot of its output just comes across as complacent and lazy, and its news is press release garbage.
