This Is Granada
The down side to BBC Scotland is that they show some programmes days/months late, however on the plus side (for digital satellite viewers) if you miss something on network, you can catch it again on Scotland!

Also a Plus about having BBC Scotland on Digital Satellite is that they sometime premiere episodes of a programme before the network show them, e.g. – last week Scotland got Episode 2 of Hotel Babylon a few days before the rest of the UK!

I've just remembered - we're still waiting to see the last episode of QI from December 2005 which has never been broadcast either due to a regional opt out, after showing the whole of the rest of the series.

I phone mainly. And you always get the same reply about them having to show so many hours of regional output, which never really tackles the question about why programmes are shifted about so much.

The new drama " Rough Diamond " seems to be going for the " strangest scheduling in Scotland " award. It's been on after the 10pm news on Sunday, 9pm Monday and now 11.05pm tonight.

It also seems that BBC Scotland doesn't think One Life worthy of being broadcast in a hour when a lot of people are actually awake either. Rolling Eyes

Kind of on-topic, but went to pick up this week's edition of TV Easy this week to find the Wales version merged with the Scottish version.

Usually they have the BBC Wales listings in the main section with the "BBC England" alternatives in the "Regional Variations".

However, now BBC Scotland - a channel most people in Wrexham, Swansea or Cardiff aren't really interested in, has it's listings in the main section with BBC Wales as the regional variation - and no "BBC England" listings at all - which is a bit crap considering most of North East Wales is in the Granada area and our local shop at least only stocks the Welsh edition!

In the days before Channel Four, just outside of Dundee in Monifieth, you could get Grampian, Scottish and Border...so anything might be possible!

Last time I checked the TV Times, under the ITV1 Regional section it would look like this....

7.30pm GRANADA:
YORKSHIRE:
TYNE TEES:
CENTRAL:
BORDER:

And in the Regional bit of the Radio Times here in Granada on a Monday we have.....

ITV1 Central
(Central) 6.00-6.30pm Central Tonight
(Thames Valley) 6.00-6.30pm Thames Valley Tonight

I'll sleep easier knowing what time Thames Valley Tonight is on considering the fact I don't even live close to the Midlands or the Thames Valley Area.
