BBC Scotland channel - service to also launch in HD

BBC Scotland is now pushing out a Launch promo, and programme promos.

I would watch to see if there will be any special presentation before the switch over, but iPlayer doesn't allow me to watch the Scottish variant.

The last BBC Two Scotland announcement will be at 11:55pm just before Williams: Forumla 1 in the Blood.

I'd have thought it was a transition they'd wish to pass by relatively unnoticed.

The BBC seems to have failed to inform it viewers that BBC 2 scotland is going...

As far as average viewers are concerned, BBC Two is continuing, alas from London rather than Glasgow.

So when people turn into see the River city repeat? Sportscreen at 6pm on a Sunday, FMQ, there will be no explanation.

It's 2019, there are means and ways of catching up on River City. EastEnders got rid of their Sunday omnibus a few years back.

For most viewers, their favourite network shows continue with the only real subtle difference is that the continuity is more than likely to be from an English person.

Your still missing the point, Im not talking about after the new channel starts, i'm on about right now. The way the promos are playing it it seems BBC Scotland channel is additional channel.

To all intensive purposes, BBC Scotland is an additional channel with some output previously on BBC Two Scotland, with BBC Two continuing as a shared network service between England and Scotland.
