A couple of weeks ago my Hitachi PVR was skipping channels and looping back when I was using P+/P-. It involved BBC2, BBC Alba and BBC4.

I did a retune and the problem went away.

It seems they are five promos covering

* Arts
* Comedy
* Drama
* Doc
* People

With the six one being a general one highlight all the programmes. There really not priming the channel with promo appearing once aday. Danny dyer show getting more airtime.

There are 6 genre bundles in total.

* Arts
* Comedy
* Drama
* Doc
* People
* Sport

With the seventh one being the main channel launch trail.

So its gone up, Wink Not seen sport one yet! I haven't seen the Launch trailer in nearly a week. I'm surprised there going to be sport on this channel, what going to be on it?

The only thing I know for sure it’s Friday night football, and by the looks of the trails - some sort of sport chat/discussion show.

Absolutely ridiculous BBC4 is being dropped down to channel 82 on Freeview to accomodate this. 51 is available in Scotland but seemingly not an option, whilst That's TV continues to clog up an unjustifiable high position in the EPG.

People really still watch SD? Even my Granny has HD tv, and she not that well off.

HD is standard now with new TV's I'd have thought, but considering the black and white licence still lingers on there seems to be no urgency to scrap the SD simulcasts and it is long overdue for the PSBs to being switching to HD as standard. Although it's not as straight forward on Sky on Freeview at least the BBC would half it's capacity requirements by closing the SD simulcasts and switching everything to T2 transmission.

when will the schedule be announced.

personally i dont understand the need for it- when they have regional programmes on BBC1 Scotland and BBC2 Scotland

Lots of people do, it depends when they last bought new equipment

Everyone who bought a Freeview box or IDTV before or around switchover for example, and there'll be quite a few of them. Not everyone has an 'HD ready' set either, and there are some without HD receivers in them. Some of my family are in this position, they aren't going to go out and buy HD sets until the perfectly good one they have now stops working

I brought a box around the switchover at a £14 and it was HD ready, seems to be some people have been missold freeview boxes.

I still use a DVB-T only receiver for my CRT tv in the kitchen, bought at DSO.

They weren't missold, they just bought at a time when DVB-T2 receivers either weren't common or were the more expensive option. Remember that the only obsolescence when it comes to set top boxes is that the original ON/ITV Digital boxes don't work. There was a long growth period when SD boxes and sets were the only option
