On Sky

101 - BBC One Scotland
102 - BBC Two (England/Network)
??? - BBC Scotland SD
115 - BBC Scotland HD

Not entirely sure of the SD epg number will be - find out soon.

Isn't it taking BBC 4's SD slot in Scotland, so Ch 9 on Freeview (and whatever it is on Sky/Freesat/Virgin ) ?

Four days to change some router assignments ? !

More like they want a four day gap, to show a barker video and get the punters used to the idea of the change/launch

Is it maybe a case of reconfiguring the playout suite and doing some white networking? Changing the distribution is the kind of job you'd schedule in one overnight but in reality would be over and done with in a few minutes.

White networking has been taking place since December. The whole changeover will take around 4 days (I maybe should have been more clear) although the distribution is taking a large chunk of that.

"White networking"?

Sounds like something that only the BNP, EDL, or KKK would do... Confused

It's basically trial runs of the playout suite. They wont look like the finished channel from the start, and of course there might be points where they have to stop to fix problems, but will end up as a full dress rehearsal as if they're doing it for real.

When was the first opt-out by BBC Scotland on BBC2, and when did it become a regular thing?

They used to opt out of a closedown ( if that’s a thing lol ) at about 4.10pm in the early 80s to show children’s Gaelic show Bzzzz.

As far as my memory serves Prosbaig on a Thursday night was the first regular opt out, with a static 80s striped BBC =2= Scotland slide beforehand.
