Could it have been BBC World Service radio dipping in?

Doesn't explain the reintroduction though as that's done at the point the BBC1 coverage begins (and I don't think Sportscene airs from 3-4pm on the connected red button).

No, Sportscene doesn't run all afternoon. The results show on BBC One Scotland tends to mirror exactly the time Final Score is on BBC One (rest of UK). What I think might happen is that Sportscene may be put onto the Red Button at 16:30 for the benefit of those in the rest of the UK who want to see the Scottish results. I don't know if this is the case though as I was watching on an old VM cable box.

It's not the case, no. Final Score does cover the Scottish results as well, and it's that that appears on Red Button.

I see BBC TWO Scotland has started to use locally-branded ECPs more often (albeit with the times in the wrong typeface).

Very disappointing that BBC One Scotland has put out a pretty significant consumer show "Hugh's War on Waste" at 23:05 last Monday, and 23:10 this week. Scottish shows on One tonight included a programme called The Mountain at 19:30, a one-hour programme on Glasgow's new hospital at 21:00 and a police comedy Scot Squad at 22:40.

The local programming is welcome but why's it all squished into one night, with a good quality campaigning programme about food and clothing waste airing so far beyond prime time, not many will see it.

Agreed, but Scot Squad is a guilty pleasure of mine!

Hughs war on waste has never been advertised. Lets be fair, NI have also opt out and moved it to after the news.

Scottish local programmes are not Squished into one night NI, Scotland and Wales having the following slots

Monday: 19.30, 21.00 and 22.35
Tuesday 22.35
Wednesday 22.35
Thursday 19.30
Firday at 21.00 can also be used if needed.

Scotland Swaps things around and uses the 20.00 slot of River city and bumps Holby city to when ever, mostly Tuesday at 22.35, this week its Wed at 22.35. I have seen it go out on Friday at 23.35.

I'm disappointed that happened too, then. The show was trending on social media for a good part of last night, and was trailed on The One Show last week.

Looks a bit squished to me. I know it's about balance, but The Cairngorms programme wasn't that interesting, and nothing new compared to what can be seen week in, week out on Countryfile or Landward.

Not a great situation really, is it?

To be honset, Holby city doesn't rate way up north. I have to agree with you about War on food, its something which should have at least been advertised.

Probably doesn't help being thrown around the schedule by BBC Scotland though.

Just to say, Glasgow just used Hydro Ident not seen that in a while, but does continue to get a airing in Scotland every so often,
