I don't know if I'd agree that there are not enough Scottish programmes but BBC Scotland seem to be lack creativity and stuck in some sort of Scottish cliche time warp. I think the opt outs should be scaled back. Getting rid of Scotland 2015 and making Reporting Scotland more news based and less sport would be better. I know that it's a TV Forum but I've listened to every BBC numerical radio and yet never find anything worth listening to on Radio Scotland. Less opt outs = less need for Glasgow CA = savings.
I would demand ALL profits from BBC Worldwide private operations to used to improve the BBC.
Are you suggesting that this is not what currently happens?

If Scotland 2015 goes then Newsnight Scotland will have to come back. Most of the opts have been from the Documentaries, with Comedy only appearing every so often and of course River city. The number of opts outs is already pretty low, but with everything else is moved around etc.

I don't disagree that much with this. Reporting Scotland's nightly running order is basically 2x Scottish Govt press release, 1x Police Scotland press release, Celtic/Rangers sport story, something about Andy Murray, Weather.
As for Scotland 2015, apparently it lost a lot of the former Newsnight Scotland audience but it would be tricky to get rid of given the political situation up here. That said, if some BBC Three programming is meant to be shown on TWO then there needs to be some space for it. In Scotland, 22:30 to 23:50 every night is all taken up with current affairs programming.
