Never being up that early I always assumed Breakfast was effectively the end of the news channel simulcast so no need for continuity.
5.55am (approx.) weekdays: BBC One leaves the News Channel and plays out its own trails and intro into 'Breakfast'. For some reason, BBC One Scotland used network versions of BBC One trails during this junction, yet introduced Breakfast with a BBC One Scotland ident. As I say, this anomaly seems to have been addressed this week.
I assume there's a happy pres director in PQ this afternoon*, as the Scottish Cup Final didn't go to extra time, and there was enough time for reaction and the trophy lift, and the programme handed over directly to Wembley just in time for kick-off. (Last year there was a news bulletin scheduled between the two, but the trophy presentation was delayed by a pitch invasion, so it was all a bit of a tight squeeze)
I was about to say that it's not very long ago the BBC Scotland had a bit of cock up while putting BBC1 network output on BBC 2 Scotland.
It was the morning after an election and BBC 1 had the BBC Scotland programme, and the network programme went out on BBC2 Scotland -complete with the South East regional opt which was on the sustaining feed.
It's at this point that I realise that what I was about to describe as not long ago is almost 30 years ago...
Checked in this morning and looks like our strange little anomaly on BBC One Scotland between 5.55am and 5.59am has been corrected. We now have BBC One Scotland branding on the trails.
Looks like I spoke too soon. Network trails are again being played out in this junction, followed by a BBC One Scotland ident. I'm beginning to wonder if the presence of BBC One Scotland-branded trails is dependent on which director is on duty.
An ECP error a few nights ago on BBC TWO Scotland. As the schedule and teal background would suggest, the bottom programme was to follow on BBC TWO Scotland but they accidentally displayed the BBC Alba logo.
BBC 1 Scotland seems to be having some play out issues tonight after This Week. Trail freezing and blinking on and off the screen, which then cuts to a network In The Dark trail, which played out normally, back to a BBC 1 Scotland ident for the weather which did the same as the trailer.
BBC TWO Scotland accidentally aired the Water Sign Zone graphic instead of a 'coming up' graphic before the Horizon repeat tonight (which did not air with signing).
At the end of Two Tribes today at around 1.30pm on BBC Two, the Scottish CA announced that Chronicles of a Champion Golfer was on next. He then announced into it at the junction but seemed to be forty five minutes ahead of himself as The Super League Show came on.
Are these announcements live i.e. did he make a mistake or did someone play out the wrong audio ?
