it has been mentioned that bbc wales have a "made in wales" sting on the go at the moment - and i believe bbc northern ireland have something similar?

bbc birmingham ran a similar "made in birmingham" campaign about a year ago, but have any other english regions ... or indeed scotland bothered?

you would have thought, around the time of charter renewal, the bbc would want to highlight the amount of programmes that are made outside of the m25.

Usually just ' BBC Scotland ' on the endcap.

I think the network production from BBC Birmingham, BBC Manchester and BBC Bristol is quite seperate from regional programming from BBC Midlands, BBC North West and BBC West, so that may be why it's not plugged so much.

BBC Northern Ireland did a "Great Drama from BBC NI" thing before a number of programmes, the one I remember was befire Gunpowder, Treason and Plot on BBC Two, I have never seen one from the English Production regions.

internally it makes sense to seperate regional and network productions, for budgets etc. but i think bbc birmingham's approach with their campaign made a lot of sense. many people aren't aware that so many programmes are produced in the city. the trailers contained a mixture of clips from network tv, regional tv, network radio and local radio.
