Here is a full list of North West presenters:

Gordon Burns
Martin Henfield
Nigel Jay
Julia Sharp

Others:

Stuart Flinders
Tony Morris
Julie Taylor

All of the above, apart from Julie Taylor (I think) are correspodents.

The regional newsrooms are alright, but NorthWest Tonight had a cool studio with cool music and cool graphics before the relaunch.

Regional news should be exactly that - regional. That's why I don't like ITV having these horrid generic idents on most of it's stations, and why I prefer to have my region called Granada and not 'ITV from the heart of your region'. How on Earth can a region's identity to be maintained if it's identical to another?

NWT need to employ another female presenter to present alongside Gordon.

they've only recently gone up from 3 mins to 4 and a half at just before 7 and 8.

And how much of that 4.5 minutes is 'News' on Look North!

2 minutes News
45 seconds for Weather
45 seconds minute for Travel
And a good minute+ for advertising Local Radio, Online, Ceefax, Lunchtime Banter, and other 'If you're going to work now, thanks for joining us see you tommorow at the same time, ...., if you're staying around a bit longer join us again at 8.25....'

Do you think breakfast should have a BBC ONE dog and a clock during regional?

I think I heard it would be a technical nightmare to implement that.  Slightly annoying, as in the days before UK Today became the sustaining feed we used to get the clock on the Newsroom South East bulletins. Come to think of it, it might have been a lot longer ago than that - but it was definitely there in the Breakfast Time days in the 80s.

As for a DOG - PLEASE NO!!!!!

You should try watching Newsroom SE in the morning - most of it's just travel news! We have a dedicated travel person sitting in a broom cupboard in Scotland Yard bringing us a succession of London traffic cameras, all done in a mock webpage screen layout with 'London Live' branding all over it. WHY????

All Midlands and East Midlands Today bulletins are presented from the main studio.

I think its better having updates from the studio, it means that different camera angles can be used instead of the standard straight ahead shot that can only be achieved with simple chromakey.
