Are any other BBC Regional News programmes broadcasting from outside like Midlands Today is doing right now (6.43)???

It's OK for light hearted stories, but it takes the seriousness away from the mainstream news items, don't you think so people?

EMT did it first on Monday, beside the Nottingham canal.
The rest just copy Rolling Eyes

And it was unplanned! It was really sweet, with Dom picking a flower for Anne as they strolled down the canal side...

And today they were eating Twisters in the studio at the end of the programme, for no apparent reason - but then that's EMT. Half an hour of complete madness, if Dom and Anne are presenting!

I think we've got the best news team in the land! Laughing
how good was Monday though? At first it was just Anne on a barge, then Dom in the studio. By the time the sport was finished we go back outside with Anne, Dom and the Weather girl, + a bottle of wine!

And that nice man invited them all onto the barge, too! Bet they all went to the pub once they were off air.

Did you see Tuesdays programme where some bloke emailed in to say that the flower Dom picked was a protected species? Almost ruined it all! Thankfully the bloke was wrong. Cool

South Today is the best.

They know about "people" like us, and once before the current make over gave us a tour of the studio and explained how the weather (chroma key) worked, and the cameras and their random stuff. Quite good.

quite - the warm spell earlier this year heralded the start of the pebble mill garden season, and central west were out in the garden a few weeks ago.

so the east midlands weren't *quite* the first.

North West tonight would be great outside!! If only. I would love the show to come from Canal Street. Gordon would enjoy doing it outside me thinks.
