Just hunting around the BBC site and found that my local BBC news, Midlands Today, can be veiwed online. Iwent to see the spotlight site and it direceted me to Devon online. Scepticly i clicked the link watch it. It seems a bit odd. After the titles the main shot is a landscpace shot with the word spotlight in big letter and BBc News in smaller underneth byt with no bar at the side. Is this what it looks like at lunchtime or does spotlight have diffrent news for devon?

So far I've been able to find...
Look North (Leeds)
Spotlight
Midlands Today
Wales Today
Reporting Scotland
Newsline

Spotlight certainly looks different - they obviously really like the shot of St Michael's Mount (I think!) in the background!

Plymouth don't have a window plasma like most other regions. It's a big CSO screen which they project the weather cam picture. It's actually in Plymouth and can be moved around to give a slightly different view.
I think it looks really good .. it helps that Plymouth is more telegenic than say Manchester or Birmingham.
When they do lives from other studios (Truro, Barnstaple and Exeter) they have a live shot behind those as well.

NickyS - I hope you don't mind me asking but what do you do at the BBC? What's your job title?

How stingy are Midlands Today? They don't let us see the opening titles!

And they're always messing up the end titles to the lunchtime programme!

SORT YOURSELF OUT MIDLANDS TODAY!

The presenter on Spotlight looks very similar to the presenter this morning on News24World - Deborah McKenzie, it sounded something like that. I was anticipating Alex Deakin being on the weather - he was!!

The presenter on Spotlight is the lovely Natalie Cornah.
