Well done mdta! I've created a similar thing on Powerpoint, with all the regional graphics.

Does anyone know the astons used for other BBC NEWS programmes. For instance, PMQs is a horrid yellow colour and Metropol is white with black writing and a purple square (which is unique).

What are the other regional political programmes like?

How can I create designs like the one on Pg 2? I don't have Microsoft Powerpoint (just Works 6) and I only have Paint Shop Pro 4.

Please help!

UKToday's astons are the same as the national news, N24 and World: semi-transparent purple, with gold and white text.  I don't think they have a LIVE DOG

Yes - UK Today does have a LIVE dog. It is identical to the One/Six/Ten and Daytime summaries dog as they come from the same studio and use the same LIVE bug generator.

UK Today used the semi-transparent purple astons before the National News - when UK Today moved to the National studios, Nationals were still using the cream/red/black astons. Nationals moved to purple quite soon after though.

It's quite amusing how North West Tonight can't line up the LIVE thing with the aston properly. Instead of lining up with the top row of text, it's half-way down the aston!

Maaaaaad.

Although they are slightly different; on the Breakfast astons the top line of text is bold, while the bottom line is in light type, whereas on the national news both lines were bold.
