BBC Red button closure reversed

The BBC News and Sport TV apps have closed today.

And the iPlayer content it now links to is no replacement - only short form content are some Coronavirus information videos.

Pressing the Red Button on my Humax Freesat box temporarily loaded nothing except the text elements of the homepage in red text on the middle left side of the screen. Not even getting the notice as displayed above. Bit disappointed it isn’t falling back to the default when there’s no internet connection.

EDIT: tried again and it loaded properly as redirects. Rather than being redirected, i simply disconnected the internet for the device so that the old-style red button loads. Not obviously possible for everyone ofc, but is an alternative if you are able to.
