"BBC Radio 1, 2, 3, 4 on Freeview (digital terrestrial television)
On the morning of Wednesday 3 October, following the installation of new equipment, BBC Radio 1, 2, 3 and 4 on Freeview are moving into the same space as the other BBC radio services - from multiplex A to multiplex B. Channel numbers are not changing, but you will need to rescan your Freeview receiver to make sure you can continue to hear these networks. No other services or other platforms are affected."

This should really be in the "BBC Radio" thread. It's probably on page 2 or 3 of this forum.

Thank you, Oh Forum Police Chief.

Not everything has to end in those overlong generic threads, you know.

Fair enough I suppose. I just didn't feel that it warranted its own thread.

None of the MHEGs for the BBC Radio stations were working at all until one rescanned, even on the channels that weren't changing Multiplex.

However I did notice that the Radio Music Shop EPG entries (Freeview channel 729) are claiming that this channel is no longer broadcasting when it is.

Does this mean then that we'll soon be getting a handful of new so-called radio stations on Mux A now the BBC have vacated the space?

Also, I assume Channel 4 Radio when it launches will at least have the channels stations on Freeview (C4 Radio, E4 Radio, Pure4) - have C4 got the space reserved on their half of Mux 2?

Since the only radio stations currently on Mux 2 are Heart and U105, plus the audio streams for teletext, there must be plenty of room for more radio.
