Why not include an option for local BBC radio? We cant all get Radio LOndon. When I listen to BBC radio its radio 1, but IMO its pretty crap. I prefer Trent FM or Atlantic 252.

Didn't Tommy Boyd used to present CITV in the early 90s!

1992-1998. He was the voice that always use to irritate me. I was glad when IVC was brought back for CITV (authough I stopped watching CITV soon after. I watched CBBC until i got cable, then I dumped kids shows).

They originally used to use Tommy Boyd in the CITV Broom cuboard in 1991 I think and then he did the voiceovers when the broom cuboard was ditched, i preferred the broom cuboard, anyone got any videotape of this they wanna sell.

Hmm, quite an interesting response to this poll - glad I started it! Smile

Next week is a year since I started listening to Ken Bruce on Radio 2 - at first I was mistaken, I thought it was Terry Wogan - well they do sound alike don't they?!

Nearly a year on and I hardly listen to it that much now because I'm either working or listening to my local radio station which I'm addicted to.

I only listen to BBC WM,since I found out that most ILR stations play the same stuff across the whole country.

This particular example is from 1991,when an episode of 'Knightmare' (Remember Treguard and co?) failed to start. So he adlibbed. (Picture and video from www.knightmare.com ,the best Knightmare site on the web)

Well, being bang up to date as I am, I listen to Radio 1! But, since I've been in France, I've had to make do with 5 Live and BBC World Service on MW (evenings only!). By the way, I was listening to The World Today on world service a few days ago and I noticed that they've got an absolutely lovely theme tune - anyone have it on mp3, by any chance?!

I'm not really a BBC radio person either, I normally listen to Chiltern or Capital, but Chiltern and all the other GWR stations all sound the same so much, so you end up getting the same thing on loads of stations a lot of the time. Sad Hardly local when someone from Bristol all the way to Nottingham could be hearing the same thing!

Radio 1, especially Mark & Lard and the Evening Session. I am alternative and then some!
