The latest on-screen Asian Network promo may have featured the new 'A' logo, but some areas of TV seem to be in no rush to update - the ECP on BBC Two just now promoted a Radio 4 programme using the older outgoing logo, something which no doubt could have been updated if they so wished.

One of the BBC Proms trails also features the old Radio 3 logo, but then if it has been in use before the introduction of the new logos, then it's understandable.

But the new logos are not being introduced yet, some may be, but not all. Radio 4 are not, same with 3, and most of the rest.

So, some of the new logos haven't 'officially' been introduced, while others have? What would be the point in that?

Furthermore, why have all of them been spotted in-use online (podcast pages) if some were not even meant to be used yet? Confused

The new logos are designed to be used alongside each other and it would be only logical to introduce them at the same time as best as possible surely, and not just say "We'll use this new logo on air now, but delay this one for another couple of weeks/months for the hell of it" which I understand is what you're saying, effectively. Does that not strike you as a little odd?

Then again, the Beeb seem to have gradually become more inconsistent and haphazard with their branding over the recent years, so maybe this isn't so odd.

I'm sure the "randomness" has something to do with the fact that some trailers are done before others. These Proms ones I would imagine were done some time ago.

They are all here: http://www.merrymedia.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=4453&Itemid=67

but I would like to comment that they are all bloody awful looking. In particular the BBC 7 and Radio 5 Live logos. 1xtra has not changed has it?

They are alright, love the BBC 7 logo but they really did run out of ideas with 5 live

The concept's good, though I just don't like the positioning of the BBC RADIO bit. If it was vertically centred with the circle, I think they'd look much better.

The BBC7 logo is quite nice.

I like that, very similar to the current one but subtler and the 7 is more obvious
