I might have seen that too, to me it just looked like a rehash of the existing logo. It still looked quite nice though.

More than can be said for the monstrosities that are the new Radio 2 and Five Live logos...

Welcome to the BBC Radio Asian Network! Confused The logo's nicer than the other ones, though.

Now if the remaining digital stations' logos don't read 'BBC Radio 6 Music', 'BBC Radio 7' etc I will be surprised!

Oh dear. When I saw that post with all the new logos in it, I thought, 'what's the point?'

If they are changing all of them, why add that triangle on Radio 1? If you look at the windows of Yalding House, all over them you see the distinctive 'slot coin' logo, and everywhere else it is used, people associate that simple design with Radio 1. Now they are changing all of that just to put a triangle on the side. Really stupid if you ask me.

The rest are poor as well. They were great before, all really distinctive, but trying to get them all to fit in with this circle theme is silly, because it ruins them.

Sorry, rant over.

It's been like that for ages.

Radio 1: Why? Why? Why? The existing design (no triangle on the 1) would have still fitted in easily with the rest of the brand and would have saved them changing all the signs, website, posters, stationary etc.

Radio 2: Dull and boring, could have put the neon 2's in a cirlce.

Radio 3: Quite nice, fits in well with the station

Radio 4: I quite like this too and it solves the problems on freeview that the previous logo had

Radio 5 Live: yuk, looks awful with the 'live' bit tacked on

Asian Network: If you ignore the fact it technically says 'BBC Radio Asian Network' its great

1Xtra: As with Radio 1 its so similar to the original i don't know why they've bothered changing it

Just out of pure curiosity, does anyone know if these new logos coincide with any new jingles or audio packages on Radios 1, 2 and Five Live?

I doubt it - Radio 1 have only just edited all their jingles to fit this new man in, and all their jingles and stuff are fairly new anyway.

I noticed the Newsbeat jingles had changed slightly - why did they get rid of the deep voiced guy?

Call me old fashioned, but these should be the logos:

The channels would be distinguished by the graphic design used for Advertising, etc with the logo consistent throughout the services.

drnilescrane, The BBC are allowing their stations have a more unique look, would have been fine 10 years ago but not now, hence why they are giving the TV stations a rebrand with their own look. Out with the generic and in with style..
