...at any rate it's a bit odd that Radio 4 is still using the old logo (and BBC7 also).

I thought I'd seen them somewhere else (for those who don't know, click here)

They've even used my re-creation of the old red Radio 4 logo which I had to make myself since I couldn't find a decent image of it anywhere - evidently neither could the Radio 4 web team.

It's bad because it was taken from a camera phone, from the Yes, Prime Minister adaptation (where it was used when it should have been R3).

Now that's handy...I happen to have that book as well, so there's another logo I can scan and add!

Incidentally, it seems that Radio 2 in particular are now pushing the digital reception methods more. Most obviously, the TOTH announcement now goes something like:
"This is BBC Radio 2, online, on digital, and on 88-91 FM."
Whereas it used to be phrased simply:
"88-91 FM, this is Radio 2, from the BBC."
The jingles haven't changed (which is good, the current jingles still sound brilliant) but the format of the TOTH announcement is very different, and podcasts and the websites seem to have been plugged a lot more on the station since the 40th birthday.

Indeed. Its gone from the 5 Live News, to The BBC News, on 5 Live. Not sure if I like it, its too generic.

One thing I've noticed is the use of "BBC News" on 5 Live and Radio 4 recently. On 5 Live they say, "Joe Bloggs with the BBC News at X O'Clock" and the say "the BBC News" instead of just "the news" on Radio 4.

Radio 2 and 6 Music have also started doing the same; presumably only Radio 1 and 1Xtra are immune.
