it's exactly the same as the old one. It follows the box design because it's part of BBC News and Current Affairs.

IT's not part of News and Current Affairs, it's a seperate part of the BBC

Not if you've got Freeview...

Indeed, and I'd forgotten just how bad the outgoing Radio 4 logo looked on Freeview until I flicked through the channels there, with only very basic colouring meaning no shadow and no gradient for the background. Looked especially naff - the new one should at least be consistent.

Moyles was talking about the new logos this morning, in particular commented on the bit in Ariel about the Radio 1 logo - saying that it was working well so they just tweaked it. So why tweak it if it was working well? Listen again around 7.50ish.

Speaking of Moyles, seems he's having to work a 6 hour shift today - Jo Whiley's off and her fill-in Sara Cox has called in sick!
