Possible suspect source, but there must be some truth in it!

I think the real question is why didn't you use such a hysterical tabloidesque topic title as you did when you posted the same thing on DS

BBC is firing Clive Everton

Both amount to the same thing, don't they? My real reply should be why did you bother replying on this thread given your negative attitude?

Wasn't this thread posted here months ago during the World Champs?

Sports commentators come and go though and it makes perfect sense over time to bring in new blood with more recent experience within the game, even if occasionally it does mean pushing out seasoned commentators.

What I find more questionable though is the BBC's use of commentators who are actually participating in a tournament. OK, fair enough most of them are too past it to progress beyond the early rounds anyway, but surely there is a conflict of interests there where a player has a role lined up once they've been knocked out - even though I'm sure there fees would be less than the potential prize.

Not really, no. Particularly the latter about him being fired, as there's absolutely nothing in that opinion piece that even remotely supports your assertion.

Boredom possibly. That or the fact that you've posted three threads about how the BBC are apparently attempting to shaft Clive Everton, coupled with the fact that there was about as much conclusive information in the first two as there is in this one.
