First point of discussion for this year's BBC Proms, they now appear to have a studio rather than being in a box at the Albert Hall.

The question is, where is the studio based?

At the Royal Albert Hall.

From the BBC Two listing :

"For the first time, the BBC TWO Proms are presented from a specially built studio within the Royal Albert Hall building, where Charles and Suzy are joined by guests and artists to discuss the concert, signalling the start of a fresh approach to Saturday night BBC TWO broadcasts throughout the season (starting on 26th July). The studio will have a large screen showing preparations within the auditorium, as well as specially pre-recorded films and live down-the-line interviews with artists backstage."

That's very interesting, I wonder whereabouts this new studio is in the hall.

Yes. I thought she was an odd choice of guest, but she's a classical trained pianist and she did know her stuff.

Yesterday on BBC Four they weren't using the studio, but were back in the Hall itself (which I think has more atmosphere anyway). Was this always the plan to only use the studio for BBC Two Proms or has there been a change of plan?

Was also very amusing in the interval when the conductor and soloist were too busy discussing the music for the second half, they forgot that they were there to be interviewed and the interviewer had to interrupt their conversation. Sorry to bring up an old thread, but i was watching some highlights on BBC Two today, and was it me or was the audio out of sync? It was especially noticeable when they had that solo violinist and shots of the conductor. Nothing was in time.
