BBC Problems this evening

On BBC1, loads of black screens and an apology after the show about housing associations late tonight.

I just thought that it was Virgin Media playing up as it sometimes does until the apology at the end.

I thought that at first, but the announcer had to apologise during the closing credits of the programme. I wonder what the problem is.

The fault was seen briefly on BBC 1 NI during the programme... it then continued in to the opening titles of The League Cup Show on BBC 1 England... but not on BBC 1 Northern Ireland... so presumably the fault did not effect the Clean Feed to the Nations but only the Dirty Network Feed. I'm guessing it's a mixer or stream fault. Did it affect BBC 1 HD? If not, it may have been a fault on the SD down converter.

Yes BBC 1 HD had the same problems during the Neighborhood Watched program.

And almost immediately afterwards, it happened again, blacking out half of the trailer that followed.
