Why is BBC Parliament not advertised on any channel hardly except news 24? I know that parliament and news 24 are very rarely advertised on BBC One/Two. Although they mention news 24 on national bulletins it needs more advertisement so that people know what and where it is. BBC Parliament is kept very quiet or seems to be.

Everywhere where you can get N24, you can get BBC Parli. So why don't they say (particulary now, when there's no Comons sitting) for continuing coverage of XXX turn to BBC Parli.
i dont understand why the dont call BBC Parliament there election channel as it would make much more sense and yes i agree with you. They should say coverage continues on BBC Parliament. Quite often news 24 and parliament show the same press conferences at the same time. its pointless.
Yeah you are right, this would have been the perfect opportunity to promote BBC Parliament, which you quite rightly say is not promoted enough!

The problem with having Parliament as their election channel is that ONdigital viewers only have it in audio, and so cannot see what is going on, they can only hear it.
The BBC have acknowledged Parliament as 'a failure' ... they said it not me!
It can be useful, but to be honest if there is an important bill to be passed the main channels will be there.
And no doubt that when Sky News Active goes octoscreen (that will be 8 screens instead of the 4 now) .. this is happening very soon BTW.
There will be a parliament channel on there.
That tiny box is bigger than the one News24 use for press conferences!
I am not sure about that I expect it will still be small screen, however a tech. director at SNA said that they only made it like that 'For effect'.
No doubt the screen will be larger.
Or you will be able to press the yellow button for example and get it 'full screen'.
Parliament action is AFAIK just freely available, everyone can use it, just as congress is in the US.
C-SPAN don't hold the rights to Congress in the US, merley broadcast it.

Why does N24 make the screen so small during election events with those bullet points down the side. Television is designed so we can see the moving image. Even SNA's screens are bigger!
The N24 graphix would work if it was designed to widescreen, NOT so that 4:3 'misses nothing'.
But Sky News doesn't broadcast in widescreen so that argument doesn't work because they don't have that problem. But I agree, surely the screen could be made a bit bigger?

I was watching News 24 online yesterday and I liked the Vote 2000 graphics -- especially the one you're talking about above. But I suppose the 'live' screen could be a little larger.
