Possibly programme bounced for schedule reasons across to BBC 2. Used to happen occasionally.

On the Introductory Electronics clip, announcer mentions end of that day's OU programmes and can only find one date for this.

What date were those programmes broadcast? Could it just be a very shortlived upgrade to the more familiar versions which were quickly rendered obsolete by the 1991 rebrand?

I haven't seen this version on any TV pres site before. Is it a 'rare' one? Only ever seen the gold ident used on BBC1.
In what Sense
There not rare in the fact there were use often on BBC1, there even 1991 rebrand version of OU , which is on YT. It is rare that it's never really appeared on online, if that makes since?

What I meant was it was a different variation of the standard idents, but if you want to be extra fussy because I used the wrong words..

More confused now. What standard idents are you on about? Do you mean the normal Cow? or the OU? I thought you were asking if this was rare in never appearing on line? Hence why I used a smiley to reduce the harshness of my enquire? I didn't even know you used wrong words?
