BBC Online

How come BBC Online (in their About -> Digital TV section) is promoting ITV, C4, C5 and S4C?

because they provide information not biased opinions about themselves. Channel 4 is a corporation too and they make news for S4C - the only real competitior is ITV - and it's not going to harm the BBC by advertising the rubbish they have on there.

Rubbish!?! Nonsense! BTW, we find out who the last two Survivors are next Monday! On ITV! And Coronation Street tops the charts regularly. Who shows it? That's right. ITV! So shut up, and anyway, are you banned? The non-biased thing and Newyiddon points are true, but saying ITV is ruibbish insults everything this board and website stand for!

Survivor hasn't been getting the best of viewing figures now has it?
Coronation Street has been going for 41 years and doesn't count.

I am referring to the current load of rubbish that seems to have hit ITV.
There are a few good programmes like Who wants to be a millionaire but I watch ITV about three times a month max. They just don't have anything good that interests me.
I do not need to shut up - I am entitled to free speech and I was voicing my views on ITV programming. You are free to disagree - free speech again.

How can I be banned and post?

I understand everything this board and website stands for but it is also about TV - and the quality of programming is inclusive in that.

I feel you have reacted badly to my comments and opinions on ITV. I did not intend to offend just show that - in the minds of the majority of viewers - BBC, even with the lower quality of programming appearing on there recently, is seen as the superior programmer.

From the way you reacted perhaps you should be banned?

King Rikk is right, the whole point of a forum is to discuss. A part of that is free speech. However, it doesn't include bitching. This forum is losing people because of personal attacks and bitching.

If you disagree with someones view on a topic, it's fair enough to have a go about it, but personal attacks are not what it's about!

Huh. Techy's right I suppose, but King Rikk shouldn't insult ITV like that. And his earlier post dates from before that announcement Asa put up. Sorry Rikk (I'm embarrassed about this, you know!), Your Majesty (!), about thinking you might be banned, but in another thread, you told a big whopper of a lie regarding Yahoo Geocities image hosting.
  Like was recently said, 'only Network Centre could mess up such a surefire hit like Survivor' - it was a big hit in the States! And maybe you aren't in tune with Joe Public. Corrie regularly gets over half the available audience.

No, the point I was making was that Corrie desn't count because it's been going so long that it doesn't qualify as a new ITV programme which is what i was speaking about.
Granada should be able to pull viewers - they've been going for 45 years!
