2. all pages could be changed by using a external css file, and thats what they do...
Sorry to be pedantic but css would only really change things like link fonts, colours etc.. It wouldn't move menus around say if they were moving it from the left to the top.
Cheers, Asa
If you want me to explain, in a very boring fashion how BBC Online pages are put together thru virtual includes, I can tell you
It's not with CSS
And yes, tomorrow morning, new look ... see my earlier posts ...
Most notable change is the new homepage and BBCi bar on every single page.

Is it tomorrow as in offical time or TV day time? Ie is it midnight or 6am ... or is it a completely different time?!
no, and we don't want to shorten our member name's do we cheshirec?
couldn't resist
hyma
I never suggested you should shorten your member name, I've certainly not contracted my name in any way.
The c@t name was around in 1998, cheshirec only arrived in early 1999. c@t became my regular NotBBC name and so to save me having two different identities - as well as the CNN one at the time - I got rid of cheshirec and made it c@t in here as well.
OK?
BTW - BBC Button Bar, is this similar in style (obviously not in content, because they're designed to do different things) to the CNN.com Netscape bar? Anyway, should look good, even if it does sound tacky.

Sort of, but not part of IE or netscape. It's physically (if you can do that to a webpage!) attatched to the top of every page. Not framed, I hasted to add ... thank goodness

i cant see whats wrong with the name BBC online.
i mean interactive tv and the internet arent the same thing, so i cant see why they should share the same name.

The BBC site has a new look tonight, but is still calling itself BBC online.

Looks like it needs to be reduced to the 640x480 resolution of the current homepage - and the links on the right to be restored. Then hopefully it'll look better!
