BBCi? How lame. Could've at least thought of something original and not a direct copy of their US counterparts. Sounds tacky to be quite honest, anyway BBC Online is in need of a facelift, it looks crap at the moment.

Just a matter of time before News 24 is rebranded N24.

Very silly, and the BBC should learn that the 'future' isn't making brand names as short as possible.

Hopefully BBCi won't end up like NBCi -> purchasing a free webhosting service, search engine, promoting it to death, and later finding out that it's a miserable failure and reducing it back to a site which is bad in quality compared to what it was before.

Another thing: BBC's Look North page removed the link to the 1330 show! I've been unplugged from the banter! Sad

I can confirm it IS NOT going that way ... It's going to remain an editorially written site but with more emphisis on user involvement - which we do anyway Smile

bbci.org.uk is still available, however bbci.info and bbci.org have been registered by the Beeb:

Domain Name:BBCI.INFO

Expiration Date:21-Sep-2003 14:18:19 UTC

Registrant Street1:Broadcasting House
Registrant Street2:Portland Place

Registrant Email:ip.legal@bbc.co.uk

bbci.co.uk has already been regisitered by someone other than the BBC so it looks as though bbc.co.uk will remain as the Beeb's address. Can anyone confirm this?

Sorry to be pedantic but css would only really change things like link fonts, colours etc.. It wouldn't move menus around say if they were moving it from the left to the top.

So, just to 'clarify' some things:

If I press www.bbc.co.uk or www.bbc.co.uk/news tomorrow, I will see a brand new look?

Sorry if this makes me sound like a dumbo!
