Lookie Lookie what I hath found in the 'dontmiss' homepage newsletter.

We've been really pushed for time this week because we're relaunching the site on 7th November. So here's what you need to know fast:

It's called BBCi.
** The site's been redesigned to make your time with us much less hassle.
** We've built new areas that concentrate on people's favourite sections like TV, Radio, Where I Live and ** Communicate (which herds together all chatrooms, message boards and more).
** There's also a powered-up new Search and handy Categories and A-Z pages.
** Please take a look on Wednesday morning and tell us what you think.

wonder what it'll be like, just as long as the get rid of that rubbishy blue colour.

This is aparently a BBCi test page.

That test page is full of factual inaccuracies. It pretty much sums up how much this relaunch (and all the other BBC relaunches) are about emphasising style while letting content slip. Whoever researched that piece should be ashamed of themselves. But I'm sure they're not, and they're getting paid too, which says it all.

Notice how all the new BBC things have pithy, punchy titles? - BBC3, BBC4 (rather than the mouthfuls of Choice and Knowledge), BBCi rather than Online, etc. Dunno if I like that BBCi name but I reckon it'll grow on me. 'BBC Online' is such a standard phrase it's gonna take some marketing to carry out the rebrand to BBCi!
