Have you any idea why this will be featuring? What trail has it been on exactly?
I thought ABC were going to take reports from the BBC now as of their farteedar agreement but I've only ever seen one 'WorldWatch' report. It was about Afganiland before all the towers go kaboom and so will the taleban stuff. Have there been others? I remember the beeb getting a VERY good introduction before it.
Now it's time for WorldWatch, the first in a series of reports from our collegues at the British Broadcasting Coroporation. The BBC has more correspondannts across the golbe than any other broadcaster and therefore can bring reports from some of the most repote places in the planet. Tonight Ben Brown (?) visits Afganistan, a war torn asian country dominated by a brutal regieme.
or words to that effect.

abc always seem to like to point out when material comes from the bbeb. ive seen a couple of bbc reports on abc w.n.t., where they put a |B|B|C|News logo below the reporters name, and as you say, they mention it in the introduction.
i hope somebody caprtures it if it is any good, as bbc one doesnt close untill 4:20 tonight

I think we'll just get a few captures in 4:3 pillarbox pal. It's a bit better colour. Do ABC show BBC reports in widescreen?

If World News Tonight is shown on Widescreen in the U.S., then most likely it would.
I believe ABC News is still 4:3 in the US - and not 16:9 SDTV or HDTV. I would imagine that they are fed BBC reports in 4:3 - either before they are ARCed to 14P16 (if they are originated in 4:3 in the field by the Beeb) or just as likely 4:3 centre cut out of a 14P16 or 16F16 master in London.
I think it unlikely that ABC would be happy with a 14L12 (i.e. 14:9 letterbox) version - certainly most BBC playouts to other 4:3 broadcasters are a full-screen 4:3 centre cut out of the 16:9 edit and not a letterbox.
Leaps and Bounds: Leaping between tall buildings, this real-life Spider-man introduces new urban exploration to teens on the streets of Paris.
It appears to be an interview with the guy who did all the acrobatics in the "The One" promo. The whole promo (right about) is shown, in pieces throughout the news story. Apparently, the sort of acrobatics he does is popular with urban teens in France.
Yeah I saw it, and quite interesting too! I love thtat advert on ONE, always makes me want to try it out! You would think they would say something like "don't try this at home" lol
