So how long has BBC One Wales been promoting S4C?

At the end of EastEnders, the credits went into the box (albeit a more square version than the normal one) with a greeny/white background and something like "Pobol y Cwm at 8pm on S4C" with a picture.

The announcer promoted along the lines of "Pobol y Cwm right now over on S4C, made by BBC Wales".

I did have a clip on this new Sky+ I recently bought but then changed the channel losing the rewind facility Rolling Eyes

Well now for a while last summer BBC Wales did this, but they were just stand-alone programme promos.

The BBC promote S4C quite a bit when it is the BBC's Production. That include Pobol Y Cwm and also the National Eisteddfod.

Asa, was this on BBC Wales? I've not seen them use the box squashing ECP on any of their transmissions for weeks.

There was a cap that was on The TV Room but doesn't seem to be anymore with a BBC1 Wales menu with that night's programmes for S4C from 1985, so I guess this practice isn't new.

If Mike is about could he care to provide us with a cap? (without being cheeky) Wink

I note how there's no S4C logo on the trailer. Is that normal?

I'm not sure about that. The BBC Dont advertise other Channels, thats why they probably arnt using the S4C Logo, but they are using the name name of the programme and Channel as it is a BBC Wales Production.

There are also a load of dopes in this country, so they'll probably think the Channel is S4C not BBC!!

I'm quite certain that during Christmas last year, there was a trail on BBC 1 Wales which was essentially S4C's Christmas promo style.

It was of black background and luminous flashing decorations in close-up, which was also the basis for S4C's festive clock of that time (before they dumped all timepieces -- in fact it was their last clock on-air, wasn't it?)

So BBC Wales seem comfortable with adopting the style at least. I'm not sure enough whether the S4C~ logo was used, but I'm tempted to say it was.
