BBC One digital just showed a static BBC One ident (no music or movement) before McCready and Daughter a moment ago. Their computer must be playing up! This happened before when BBC One joined BBC News 24 (clip on Mistakes page) Funnily enough, the same static ident was shown as before - now with the www.bbc.co.uk added to it.

No it isn't. And it says updates begin in
late June
- it's now early July!
Ahh, the clip is there - I never said you could download it! :
The reason I've not updated the top banner to July is because my offline pages include all the new downloads etc.. etc.. so it's easier just to update the homepage.

Mistakes on UK Television:
Not everything runs smoothly all the time and here are just a few examples of breakdowns and cockups that have been recorded!
1.07mb - 40secs Programme: Just before the BBC News At One
When: 4/5/01 - 12.59pm
What happened:
At approx. 1258/1259, immediately after 'Doctors' had finished, the camera went to the N6 studio. George Alagiah was preparing for his bulletin, and did not know he was on air to millions of people! This is then followed by a black screen for a few seconds, leading into a schedule of tonight's TV on BBC ONE, which was obviously a last-minute thing, as the announcer adlibbed. The schedule goes straight into the National Clock, cutting off the announcer's voice, before opting out to the North West clock.

The clip I was referring to was a previous mistake when a static caption was shown and is the 3rd from bottom clip on the page. Sorry, probably didn't make that totally apparent.

You can't have been referring to the McCready mistake then, Asa.
I wasn't. What I meant by 'This happened before when BBC One joined BBC News 24 (clip on Mistakes page) ' was that the BBC One > News 24 clip was on the Mistakes page, not the recent one!
