I like the music too.... it all works well with the idents. The Man, what ever his name is but i have seen it somewhere, has done a good job! They filmed kites not far from where i live. When i first saw the BBC IDENTS, which, was almost excactly a week ago! i thaught, Oh my God! what on Earth have they done? but over the week, i have gone to like them. a lot. The one i really like is the football one.I think its cool! hate the moon one and the Hippo!
B.T.W | I'd like to apologise after the mistake in the name of one ident, Petals. But i dont know why i am apologising, BBC.CO.UK should because that was my source for Ident names.

His name is Imran Hanif. Some of the music is good, but I think, for all its flaws, it was the Dancers idents which had the best music.
I like Moon and now Kites. Those two are probably my favourite - although more for the music than the actual ident itself.
I still don't understand why you like Footballers. I think it's poorly shot, the music is awful, and the editing is just wrong. It's so unnatural at the end.

BS
It's interesting how (as has been pointed out on this forum before) the use of circles is broadly reminiscant of the traditional "globe" logos for BBC1. Even the hot air balloon idents had a spherical balloon, rather than the balloon being the "default" hot air balloon shape ("lightbult shaped"). So, basically, the dancers are the only BBC1 idents
ever
that haven't involved something circular/spherical.
I despise saying cliches like "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", but it is actually true. After only 4 and a half years (which, in the great scheme of things, is no amount of time at all) of having something so different from all that has gone before, we're back to something vaguely reminiscant of pre-dancers BBC1 eras - which really does prove that utter change for the sake of utter change is pretty much guaranteed to ultimately flop.
Think of BBC2 as a comparison. Their logo has almost always been a "2" numeral of some sort or other. Only for a period of the early 1990s (possibly very late 1980s too?) was it a "TWO" instead. And I'm sure we all know the famous story about Market Research at the time revealing that the empty white-ness of the "TWO" logo made average viewers think that BBC2 was "dull and worthy". So, what did BBC2 do? They returmned to a numeral "2" logo of course! (- the wonderfully interesting and varied "turquiose 2's", no less!)
So, BBC1's resurrection of a circular logo is like a repeat of the BBC2 story. The fact that the dancers idents ever happened at all, shows that the BBC obviously didn't remember the lessons learned from the "TWO" era.
