About a year and a half - they launched 9 on 31st December 2004, they showed

about half a year later .And gradually they've introduced more. The last ident launched about 2 weeks ago, and we're awaiting the last one.
Plus, as mentioned in this forum recently, we know they wern't all made at the same time, because Setee has Des Lynam presenting Countdown, who of course wasn't presenting when Channel 4 introduced their new look.

And if you think about The Killers promo, that's unofficially another one. So we've seen 14 or so in under two years and yet BBC1 will have another 5 to 8 over the next few years. That doesn't sound like value for money to me.

And if you think about The Killers promo, that's unofficially another one. So we've seen 14 or so in under two years and yet BBC1 will have another 5 to 8 over the next few years. That doesn't sound like value for money to me.

Yeah, but that doesn't mean anything, because they could easily edit in any clips on the TV - I mean, they're going to have to in the future because Des is leaving.

Well going completely off topic here, didn't Mistress Lorraine say on PoV in 2002 that there would be a further 8 idents added to the 8 that launched? I'm pretty sure all 8 weren't implemented in the end: Music Video, Tango, Bollywood, Tai Chi, Skateboarders, Tumbler ... that's six. Were all 8 released?
There were 16 in total if you include both versions of Tai-Chi
16 idents over 4 years is very poor. Yes I'm sounding like a broken record but you'd expect a few more than that wouldn't you?

But.... BBC1 had, over a period of about forty years had only 1 (at a time) ident, excluding clocks. It was only in 1997 when we were treated to the plethora of Balloon idents that we got greedy.

C4 have 14 idents, increased from 9 at launch just under two years ago.
BBC has just relaunched with 8, and it is likely that will expand to 16, probably in the same sort of timeframe.
Plus we'll get Christmas idents from the BBC, and probably not from C4 (although i'd really like to be wrong).

-Tube- london... red... circular... what more can I say
-Tennis-... easily done... just lay Grandstand over a tennis match and then focus in on a tennis ball at the end
-Tree- Easily done just use the spinning tree from Dr Who x-mas special
-Concert- anyone remember the stunt at an MTV Award performance.. they gave people mobiles instead of lighters to hold up in the air... do the same but in a circle from the prespective of the band
-Football- I think they shold film a match and when the goal was scored to focus in on the ball revealing the logo
-Roundabout- Simple have cars around the roundabout going in and out costs about a fiver

Thing is, in a few of your examples, they're stationary circles at the end. In most of the existing ones (apart from moon) they're moving circles.
I think your roundabout suggestion would work the best.
