I know that costs limit them but that's what I'vealways hoped a TV company would do with their idents. MTV used to have loads and they'd surprise you, also no two commercial breaks had the same one. It's just that to only have 8 to start with is really low in my opinion.

"itv" give a £1million away to a bloke after answering afew questions correctly...I'm sure "BBC one" could have splashed out a little further and 'bought' 10/12 idents? I understand the "License Fee being wasted on idents" issue...but that amount of money is 'nothing' when it comes to the BBC, especially if there going to be aired over 40,000 times.

Did anyone else [in the north] see that shortened version of Kites used into the Sunday League show?

On another note they really need to use Surfer and Windows, great daytime links, much better than moon. Confused Rolling Eyes

On a typical day I'd say at least 20. Because these ones cost so much to produce, you can't produce many of them. I doubt during their lifespan they'll have 20 in total!

I really dislike the alterations theyve made to the music on the moon ident. It's lost the tranquility and subtelty it had before. The crickets and the lapping water have been replaced by an intrusive and loud beat on the versions on the BBC One website (Im not in the UK so am not sure which made it to screen).

Hmm, so a set of idents based around big round things, you say... well if BBC TWO can bring back old symbols with the new branding, I don't see why this couldn't happen a bit later on
