If anyone wishes to know, the montage used last night to say goodbye to the dancer idents is now available to view on youtube. I know these idents have had a lot of flack over the years, and a lot of them were not brilliant but some of them were simply inspired and a joy to watch. 'Capeoira' was wonderfully executed and never tired even after repeated viewing (with a terrific musical composition) 'Ballet' was quite simply one of the most effective and emotive piece of branding I have ever seen on television. Very appropriate choice to sign off the montage and a joy to see it played out in full. Beautiful. (They should have used it more..)
As for the others - I won't miss them at all.
Just out of interest, which one would you use if somebody important died, like when HRH The Queen Mum died they had the ballet dancers, I don't really think any of them suit this sort of situation other than the Moon.
Hippos would be a good choice IMO.
Isn't Spooks on Monday at 9.00 and not tomorrow. If so then they've just used the trail that was supposed to be on tomorrow, because it says tomorrow at 9pm on it. Is anyone following this?
It was SCD that overran tonight. The football finished on time and Robin Hood actually started 1 minute earlier at 1904. It's a bloody good job I stayed in because I'm recording all of todays junctions and I would have missed it if it set the timer.
Looking forward to seeing the new ident for the North later. Although having said that, it is Leeds it's coming from and they'll probably still show a dancer ident - Yorkshire and Lincolnshire still had the red box earlier.
BBC One Scotland just showed a promo for the highlights of the Scotland v France game before the news there. It finished with a different endboard (used throughout the week for this particular game) and a BBC One Scotland box which looked, basically, crap. The Scotland was barely visible and it looked completely out of place.

Moon in England, as i predicted, looks like it is the norm all ready. Mabey they are have more copyright problems like they did with the tai-chi roatation on the dance idents with the surfers and the windows.

I still think that ident looks like a Christmas tree ball thing, if you got rid of the guys on the bike, it would look red and shiny, add some snow, and there you go.
More filmed idents, how inspiring , at least with these they have some designer edge to it, compared to ITV1's medicore idents, haven't seen it on screen yet though with an announcement.
