BBC One Rebrand

With this being the second time today that we've had an ident coming out of the programme I think they are being used instead of a Today/Tonight caption.
In this case Dean was promoting Robin Hood (again) so perhaps it was a more live action way of doing so as opposed to a static caption.

As for those 'Programme in xx minutes' straps I dearly hope they don't make a return. They were ghastly before and there's no need considering we're getting idents (even two a junction) and annos over the credits.

I dont mind the name straps on a saturday night promoting something like SCD or Robin Hood but I just hope they dont make a return advertising every programme every night of the week

I sincerely doubt it as they tend to make less effort than their Welsh and NI counterparts, but I don't suppose BBC Scotland will do a version of their "BBC Wales 1 England 0" for today's Scotland score? And if so, can it be done with the new idents?

Will Surfers be played today?

Well with it not being played I think it will be Surfers.

BBC Wales had two special St Davids Day idents - the first being the flag unveiling and the second with school kids dressed in Welsh costume. Pictures of both are on TV & Radio bits site.

Also, BBC Wales had special idents for rugby - either rugby fans jumping up and down due to a win or fans looking sad and returning to the bar....

I wonder if these special idents will be somehow re-invented for the new look?

That's the annoying thing about small ident packages, the endless repetition. Sorry to go on about the balloon but it launched with around 40 films and then they added to the set every few months. The dancers ran for 4 years and they only had 14 films!!

Hippos in Northern Ireland My favourite one so far

I read that there are 8 more idents in the pipeline, I would imagine that this would be true however I can't find the article at the moment, there are endless idents that could be produced where as the Dancers were limited. So we could have some more idents to look forward to in the near future.

Overall, I am very impressed with the new look, it tags just behind the Channel 4 idents in my opinion. I like the fact that this morning we were treated to the first ident and the second ident within minutes of each other.

It's a 5/5 from me, very good work Red Bee.

Anyone have any caps of the ecp we didnt get it in Northern Ireland

how are we going to make do with only 8 Idents. Does anyone know if more are planned? 8 is Not enough.
