Delaying EastEnders has confused iPlayer...

It looks like the programme is there but it won't play. Up until 20:00 it was 'coming soon'.

Wonder if there's some emergency stop feature to block what I assume is an automated process for pre-recorded shows. Shame in a way that it can't be promoted as 'available on iPlayer now'.

Technically iPlayer is for watching programmes "up to seven days after they were broadcast". Considering EastEnders hasn't been broadcast yet, no iPlayer catch-up. But yes it looks like it's ready to go on the iPlayer whenever it goes out on BBC One or BBC Three, whichever happens first. It would be nice though, "EastEnders follows the news, in the meantime go to bbc.co.uk/iplayer to watch it now".

Mind you the way we're going on EE probably won't air now until at least 9pm, and if it doesn't go out by 9:30pm I reckon it'll get dropped altogether, we can watch it on BBC Three at 10pm and then the iPlayer until next week.

Surely EastEnders will have to be dropped tonight? Rescheduling it for 20:30 was a little silly considering the events.

Surprised they didn't put it on BBC2 at 8pm.

Hah, you should see what's going on on the Digital Spy forums of all places. They're incredibly upset they can't see EastEnders. But I reckon it will probably get dropped on BBC One at least, and BBC Three will go ahead as normal. Might be interesting to see what happens to BBC Three's ratings if it has the only EastEnders airing of the night...

I think BBC One will drop EastEnders before they drop Luther. They may need to drop both of course. If EastEnders is dropped from BBC One then I doubt we will see it on BBC Three this evening either.

I think EastEnders will always be given priority over any other programme. A lot of people watching now will still be waiting for it.

But don't forget, BBC Three used to air EastEnders an episode in advance of its airing on BBC One when the channel was launched. So it's not entirely impossible that Three will air something that wasn't shown earlier on the main channel.

In fact now it's schedule for 20:50 and Luther chopped to 40mins in length.

EastEnders now completely dropped on BBC One. Why they couldn't have done that earlier I don't know.

That was just for a week as a promotion for BBC Three. There is no reason to do that now, it would mean showing what is esentially an EastEnders repeat in prime time on BBC One, I can't see them wanting to do that for the sake of BBC Three.

According to the EPG, EastEnders has now been dropped (again). Surely they wouldn't push the ten back on a day like today, would they? This isn't ITV!

EastEnders back tomorrow at 7:30pm.
Even though BBC Three EPG hasn't updated yet, nor has tomorrow's BBC One EPG on Freeview, still showing DIY SOS at 7:30 tomorrow.

This seems so long ago now, but for those of you that missed the end of The One Show...

At least they got the plug for Lulu's book in.
