Yep - it is amazing that they didn't get the problems on Three sorted first - before moving BBC One and Two across. BBC Three is a relatively simple network to run - often the BBC Three News bulletins are the only live shows - with no nations or regions to worry about...

The new Broadcast Centre is a farce at the moment - networks falling over left, right and centre, a drop in technical standards. I wouldn't want to buy BBC Broadcast at the moment - you'd be paying too many refunds to advertisers if you were playing out commercial channels...

Have UK TV moved yet?

The fact that BBC ONE managed to get through Saturday evening without any real issues tends to lead me back to the point that I made yesterday. As with Saturday, we're now experiencing similar cock-ups during the same period on Sunday. Given that it would appear to be a similar working shift - are these problems due to inadequate training of certain channel directors??

Today's output has been highly embarrassing. It must be an absolute nightmare for the directors in the Nations.

The symbol ran out and it all went black before Saturday Kitchen yesterday but the local announcer got a slide up [and an apology I think].

In honesty, I didn't think England was live in the mornings on BBC2 -- it doesn't very often sound like it.

Would I be cynical in believing that if things are so bad, that was the reason for the one quick promo after EE before the rugby this afternoon? I'd have thought it would have been one of their biggest junctions for promotion.

What's this generic BBC slide like?

apparently London had a cockup into the Politics Show - not sure how the regions coped with that junction

Incase anyone cares here is the screen cap I took from the breakdown in Countryfile, as they attempted to link to the weather.

Err not really. Programmes may have failed in the past, but they could always get an announcer to appologise and keep the viewer informed while the problem is sorted.

And they can't now?

Well they didn't manage to this morning, they were stuck on the Breakfast with Frost Endcap for ages

Or did they just put BBC One back into TVC for Saturday night? I don't know if its all BBC One and Two has moved to the BC or whether there is still some stuff coming from TVC - perhaps someone knows. I think it's more the system than the people sometimes with the BBC Three faults - it just doesn't seem very stable.

It's a pity they can't think of something a bit more decorative.

All BBC TV channels now operate from the Broadcast Centre. UKTV remains in TVC for a little while yet.

It's all coming from the new place. AIUI they can't move back (even if they could the practical logistics of doing so would be complex)

All systems like that are unstable at first. It's only when it settles in, gets tweaked and the people using and maintaining it get used to its little quirks (of which there can often be many!). The thing is that you can't iron out all the problems before going live - it tales too long, maybe a year or so
