Seem to be having problems on BBC One today (Sun). Went black after the end of Match of the Day and now a breakdown in the middle of Countryfile when we should have had the weather. Went black, then a breakdown slide. Wonder if it's to do with the new Broadcast Centre - playout from there seems to be dodgy at times.

At one moment (on my TV) there was a simulcast with BBC 2 (Smile) and at the start of a programme the screen went blue with the BBC Logo in the middle.

There was also an apology during The Heaven & Earth Show "to viewers in some parts of the country who experienced problems at the start of the programme" and certainly on BBC1 analogue the front of the Politics Show seemed to start with Jeremy Vine in mid-sentence.

Yes, after Breakfast with Frost we got a protracted still of the endcap, and then the generic BBC logo before crashing mid-sentence into the Heaven & Earth Show.

Hmm theres something going on at BBC the now. Something like this happened yesterday before Football Focus (see other thread in the forum). It's probably because they moved to the new broadcast centre. but you never know, something else could be wrong.

Broadcasting House? I thought it was a new facility down the road from TVC?

I've decided to call it The White City Stadium, Steve. After all, that's where it is!

There are bound to be teething problems with any new system, it can take a good couple of years to become absolutely stable and reliable.

It's nothing new, it was exactly the same when the last transmission area opened.. and the one before that

Err not really. Programmes may have failed in the past, but they could always get an announcer to appologise and keep the viewer informed while the problem is sorted. There were aqlso enough back up systems to help to prevent these problems. What happend this morning was dire. Not the fault of the operator,s who I am sure are doing their best to cope with the system.

These little errors have been happening for months on BBC Three - just now we're beginning to see them on BBC One now that they've transferred to the same playout area.

And they can't now?
